1. Yes birth control pills can sometimes be free if you get it in sample form from your doctor's office or in some cases the city health dept if they offer a free clinic but I would recommend double checking with them on that

2. It can lighten the period to make it easier when it comes to cramping and the amount of flow.

3. No it is not a good idea to smoke on the pill because smoking can affect the blood vessels which can sometimes make a woman prone to some serious health problems

1) No, birth control is not free.
2) If your period is irregular then it will fix that and you will get it at the same time every month. It's great :)
3) You can smoke while on birth control but I read somewhere that it's defenitley not a good idea while on birth control.

birth control is not covered even with medicain in a doctors office but if you have a local health department it is covered by medicaid and is super cheap for people who don't have medicaid. They say that smokin effescts the way the pill works, but nobody i know has ever had aproblem with it. And it actually makes ur periods lighter and shorte. Personally i don't like the pill becaus eyou have to tale it everyday at the same time. and i'm forgetful. I am on the nuva ring.......its awsome.

Most women find that it lightens and shortens your period. It is never okay to smoke. It is even worse if you are using birth control pills. Some areas have free BCP's at planned parenthood clinics.
