I need a short, good Egyptian myth. Not too complicated or gruesome. Just something good. Thanks!

An interesting little myth I heard about Egypt was that Egyptians thought that eating lettuce would make them smarter..so only the most important people were allowed to eat it!

There is the tale of a 2 foot tall Egytian named Jarethopar who preyed on little Egytian children at night. He later regretted having done this deed which qualifies him, at least in his later years, as being a short, good Egyptian; therefore making this the perfect short, good, Egyptian myth.

It would be difficult to find many other short, good, Egyptian myths due to the fact that most Egyptians are taller than this one.

One sort of fun ancient Egyptian myth is that of Sekhmet and Re (often called/contained in The Story of Re). Re may also be spelled Ra.
Sekhmet was a very powerful, warrior goddess with the head of a lioness. The god Re decided that he wanted to destroy men who had conspired against him, so he created and sent Sekhmet as a destroyer. Unfortunately, the battle awakened Sekhmet's bloodlust and she didn't stop killing people even after she had destroyed all of the conspirators. In order to stop her, Re created a flood that looked like blood (so she would drink it), but was in fact beer dyed red. So, she got drunk, passed out, and when she awoke was much calmer and transfigured into the more lovable goddess Hathor.

You can find a version of the Story of Re, of which the Sekhmet interlude is a part on the following site:

This is not older than 1817, but it is a telling Myth of Egypt.

Ozymandias
By Percy Bysshe Shelley

I met a traveler from an antique land,
Who said--"Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert....Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings,
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away."

Well, depends on what you need it for, but there's the creation myth, where Atum (yes, the same Atum and Adam from the Genesis creation myth) masterbates and his sperm becomes the earth and universe.
