Watching the Programme tonight it struck me as a little strange that the 'toy' used to show how DNA can be transferred bore a striking resemblence to Cuddle Cat. Does this show any outside influence from any quarter?

Yes, I think the media is being influenced and this is just one more example.

Curious - interesting answer, nothing seems to add up with anything but you can't seem to exactly put your finger on what the heck is wrong.

Clearly commissioned by the McScam squad, that was obvious when I saw the advert that was shown during the break.....

Family trip to Portugal £500
Soft kiddies toy £4.50
Slap up meal swigging crates of wine with friends while ya kids are left alone in the room, then having one disappear leading you you starting up a business to fund your trips around the world, then quickly doing a runner when suspicion focuses on you............. priceless

There are some things money can't buy, for everything else, set up a fund raising company and get others to pay your way

MasterMcCard, welcomed in hotels all over the world

Think that toy was used because it resembled cuddle cat and was a deliberate choice due to the fact that cuddle cat has been seen so often with Kate McCann so to me its an obvious choice. I don't think it can be seen as being media influence or McCann influence just related to case well. I watched some of programme but not all however I did see that part. It was interesting about DNA but really not much different to what a lot of DNA experts have had to say on various news programmes and like most of this case (and science in general) conflicting views are always there.

The media is becoming unpredictable though I think on this case.

Yes there are certainly influences at work here. I'm just waiting for the Government to get involved - then the **** will REALLY hit the fan! If this had happened in Britain, there is NO WAY that programme would have been shown - cos they'd probably been done for NEGLECT by now. I'd just love to know what makes them so different from the other people who've been nicked for neglecting their children. I've asked this before but I'm gonna do it again - WHY don't they just take lie detector tests or let themselves be hypnotised? It would save a hell of a lot of bother. Instead, they're hiring lawyers and PR firms and campaign managers who charge HUNDREDS of quid per hour - and asking for OTHER people to pay for it! It is NOT right at all.

MS MAT URITY: I didn't know the programme was about these two sponging gits. First I knew of it was on here. My PVR was set to record a programme called Too Fat For Treatment. I've just checked the details and NOWHERE does it say that it's about the McCann's.

What came to my mind is:

Would a local or holiday maker, have hired the car for a shopping trip to market. Bought from the butcher a pig, put it on the front seat, changed his mind, and then stored it in the boot on the journey home. (I believe the chap on the programme said the nearest to human cadaver smell is the pig).

I can't put my finger on it at the moment, but there was something wrong about that programme tonight.

That program tonight did nothing but annoy me. It was at blatant attempt at trying to prove how K & G may not be guilty, fine but at the moment it seems to me to be 50/50 either way. Until we know exactly what the PJ have based their case on programs like this just get us nowhere.

Although by the end of it I was thinking well yes that could have happened and in which case it was more likely the parents. It did no one any favours at all. If the case was actually going on in this country I don't for a minute think that program would have been allowed.

The media do seem to be being manipulated - they are going so far out of their way to be fair to the parents of a missing child that they may have clouded judgement. It seems ridiculous that issues like this that have such a bearing on what could turn out to be a murder/manslaughter trial could be discussed at such length, with material similar to that which might be involved. It would be wiser to wait and see if there is a trial before we discount potential evidence before it is presented in court. It might never happen.

Very poor report by the Tonight team. Like others say on the Yahoo forum it looks like propaganda drive for the McCanns. Disproving the methodology of crime detection before the case is even brought to court. As we have all said before. If the couple were down to earth working class people the Tonight team, Richard Branson or anyother elitist snob wouldn't give them a second thought. The ITN production team are showing their true colours!

Didn't people find it weird that they did not test this next to where the spare wheel is kept?
Thats where they found the evidence.
Why would someone put anything there if it wasn't to hide it?

Hollywood watch, where did you hear that rubbish? Getting sucked in by the biased tabloids, are we?

I didn't see the programme but until I do i'm just wondering why they bothered sending this special dog over to investigate if there was no point... seems a bit stupid doesn't it ?

No it was trying to be as exact as possible without ACTUALLY buying a cuddle cat.
Dont forget the peice showed some good indication of what can happen.
We knew it was McCann related anyhow, so any toy we would have known related to cuddle cat.
I thought the dog was the best bit. he went mad didnt he when he smelt those smells?
