It really depends who is the chatter box. If it is someone who i don't know and is talking for the sake of talking then no i hate it.

If it's someone who i don't know and is really talking about something interesting then no i don't mind having them sit near me.

If it's family then i don't mind as we can talk about something that we both want to talk about and you know what you say isn't going to offend them like it might with a stranger.

El Hamde ALLAH,
If it is someone I like, I do not mind the conversation.
But, I have one girlfriend, she NEVER shuts up and has an opinion on everything.
I make it a common practice, to keep puzzle books, my portable DVD player/power pac, or i-pod with my best music and ear phones. This works every time and I can play the Cd's I like on my car player.

No, not especially. I am a quiet person and I like to read about the places that I'm travelling to and can't stand constant idle chatter.

Nooooo, definitely not. That would ruin the whole trip.

No, not at all. I bring my iPod and stick the headphones in my ears before I take my seat. I find that discourages any chatty Cathies / chatty Charlies.
