Lol, Democrats? fight for freedom? Surely you jest! They are hard at work trying to curtail our freedoms...
Brady Bill part 2....Unfairness Doctrine, etc.
Even if they decided to join the military, it is highly doubtful that they possess the physical strength and mental fortitude required to pass the Armed Forces entrance exams

You're absolutely right, next time some terrorists try and attack the continental US, give me a call, maybe we'll have to really fight them this time. Alternatively, had we properly annexed the appropriate parts of Pakistan along with Afghanistan this trip might have been worth it.
But.....next time some clown at the American Enterprise Institute suggests we invade country J because terrorists from countries A and B attacked us, please leave me out.
I make no pretension of thinking that Saddam was working in our interests, but neither do the Saudis or the Yemenis or the Pashtoo or a 1/2 dozen other tribal or dictatorial factions in the Middle East.
But we did some of our hard-liner friends in Israel a big smiling favor and haven't really helped ourselves very much at all. And what did we get for the blood and treasure spent on executing a fringe Likud war-plan. Do we have a separate Palestine working towards economic independence? Do we have right of return or some concession on the part of our good and dear friends in the Likud party, I don't think so.
So basically our friends at the AEI helped a engineer a situation where the US military executed on a war-plan dreamed up by a fringe group of the Israeli right for some delusional pan-middle-eastern destabilization.
This strategy has not helped the moderate Israeli body politic, has inflamed antisemitism across the Islamic and many parts of the rest of the world, and left the US military in a shambles to say nothing of the US economic burden the war imposes.
All the while, Mr. Bin Ladin is still hanging loose in Wahiristan and immigration can't find 2 million illegals let alone assure citizens they are safe in the "homeland".

iraq has got nothing to do with our freedom except bush has taken alot of ours away so he can "protect" us from terrorists.sure he says hed fight,if i had a billion dollars id build a huge theme park for homeless people.hey guess what itll never happen just like bush going to war.democrats would fight for america and freedom.most people wouldnt run off into a pointless war that is draining our money and not to mention killing our people and thousands of iraqis.thats why bush is an idiot,he is stubborn and doesnt think things through or at least doesnt listen to reason.they had many plans for the war and he didnt go with them.we could possibly be out by now if he used the generals plans but of course now bush is listening to his puppet general becuz he is spouting out bushs plans.ask a corporeal or a sargeant how the war really is.

Excuse me? Fight for our freedoms? When were our freedoms at risk, especially from Iraq? Provide me with one instance in which they were, and then maybe you'll have something.
By the way, Bush joined the National Guard during the Vietnam War for a reason, that's why he didn't go overseas to fight that. Hard to believe he would do anything different now. Oh, and one more thing. Plenty of people in Iraq right now are Democrats. Democrats are also many of the people in congress who have provided money to fight the war.
So, what was your point again?

The war in Iraq has become the focal point of our war on terror. The democrats deny this obvious fact.
The war on terror must be fought differently than any previous war. The democrats apparently deny this, too.
It is in America's best interest, both in the short run and the long run to establish another independent, democratic ally in the Middle East. The democrats seemingly fail to realize this.
In my opinion, the democrats, along with most of Europe and the rest of the civilized nations have grossly underestimated the threat to our freedoms and way of life that the Islamic militants have presented us with.
We have certainly made errors - but most importantly, we have confronted this ideology of hatred and domination and the terrorists now know that they can no longer indiscriminately slaughter innocent people with impunity - there will be serious consequences.

Well now I am more confused than ever. The dems here keep saying there is NOTHING to fight for in Iraq, yet they're screaming for us to get into Darfur. How does the genocide under Sadam in Iraq differ from a genocide in Africa? Can't be because of oil.........the Sudan is Africa's 3rd largest oil producers as well. Should we leave Iraq and go to Darfur, will they say it's just for 'oil' and want us out of there and 'in' somewhere else?

my dog is very tuff, and barks heroically, when she's inside the house.
Bush is a chickehawk! He got out of going to Vietnam with daddy's help, and it's easy for him to say he wants to go now....he's a 6 year old dressed in cowboy clothes hankerin' to git to the OK corral.
