Why is the world so polluted with false ideas and jealous, corrupt people? Why is there so little integrity? Why are the truly good trampled upon? Why are the most selfish cowards rewarded?

There's alot of good in the world and alot of good people.

If you look for the bad you'll find it.........look instead for the good because you will find it too. REALLY you will!

What a truly great question. Question 1. Because evil is everywhere. It permeates our very being daily. Just look at the news. Tell me the last time you had a news cast of GOOD NEWS? You might, i emphasize the word Might, get a couple stories, but they pale in comparison to the coverage of the bad. Integrity? It is there, its just not seen. Why are the good trampled on? because, if the truth gets out, what they represent will die.. Why did Stalin kill so many? to silence them. Why are selfish cowards rewarded? Because the power of words is incredible. Just read about the Iranian prime minister. he hits a chord with the population. If someone says something that resonants with you, you will more than likely either act on it or look at it more. Simply put, good people are out there, they just aren't recognized enough.

Hey just a girl,

interesting question. there is an underlying negativity and anxiety behind that question. anything in particular, or is it a constant feeling you have? I relate to what you are saying and i have personally undergone some soul searching for the cliche question everybody asks: what is my purpose here in this world and why do i not seem to easily be heard? i have created one rule for myself: always stay positive and have an optimistic undertone. so from what u are saying you have a lot of potential. there are many strange things out there because there are many weird and negative people. thats an opportunity. good things happen to good people that try hard. you will always meet good and bad people. but the hardest to relate to are those in between. my advice to you is to develop your own character, define your values, and become the person you want to become. that will be a process u will undergo your whole life, but as it develops you will gain gravity and attract more good people.

jealous corrupt people are not sustainable and not truly happy.

and by the way: there are more good people out there than you think. they run most of the world and need your help ;-)

have a great day!

I wish I knew.

But aren't all people all of the things you mention? All are good. All are evil?

If the tables were turned, wouldn't the poor just be lording it over on the rich?

I have no idea why there is so much injustice in the world. The great religions suggest some answers to us. We can accept those, or we can look at scientific answers.

But in the end, there simply is no answer.

Capitalism. In greed anyone will disregard the well-being of others. Greed is an integral part of life in the West. Anyone who experiences anger at unfairness and the envy or jealousy of what another has will often act outside of their own moral or ethical code.

As for rewards, that is a perception. Wealth is not a reward, it is a curse. Never envy anyone for it.

i can relate to what you're saying and believe me this kind of questioning leads either to losing one's mind or health. if you only could see the amount of medecine laying on my night table, you'd think i'm over 70 and i'm in my thirties ! my health is deteriorating and i'm sure it's mainly because of haunting questions that poison my life, i pretend to forget or fake positivity but they'd soon re-emerge.
But i have no other solution than trying my best to stay positive whatever. It's tough but it's a must.

And you can't imagine how helpful is reading positive answers here on this forum.

Good people do exist that's my ultimate consolation.

Good luck

I am beginning to wonder if population is not the route cause of the epidemic of irrational thinking that has over-come much of the world.

I think there are now so many of us humans that we are basically driving each other madd.

The world definitely has a mass psychosis feel to it these days.

Welcome to Earth, a habit inhabited by humanity.
That's partly true, but mainly an exaggeration. You did hint in your details that you know there are good people- keep pushing forward so there can still be. Good has its bad sides- but that doesn't mean it has to stop you from being it.

I think it all boils down to one thing - MONEY, which causes greed, repression, war, environmental destruction, class segregation, poverty, crime, and an innumerable amount of bad things. I'm not a bible thumper, but I do believe that "the love of money" is the root of all evil.
