Bruce Golding will try but how he will pay for it will be the most important question. will the country run high deficits modeled after the US? Something the tiny island nation did in the 1980's which resulted in it being the most indebted nation per person per capita in the world? will his doing away with school fees for those schools that charge help to bolster the nation? Hopefully yes but he will need to explain what I have stated above for me to get on board with that. I don't want to see the country have to further devalue its dollar to compensate for the monies borrowed and therefore the country has to pay back millions if not billions in interest, something the country is still bearing the burden for in paying back the billions borrowed in the 1980's.
In all seriousness, if he pulls it off, good for him. If he can show that it is possible to do all he promised in his stump speeches to win the election, I will applaud most heartily. He would be able to show that a 3rd world nation is able to provide free health care to all its inhabitants without it being a burden and a model to show to those industrialized nations who fear universal health care that it can be done. His doing away with school fees, which help to purchase books etc for schools, will not put children behind in terms of keeping up with technology etc on the world stage- bravo!!!

Probably not. For better or worse, its been fought very successfully. In both the Truman and Clinton attempts. I think the country is sick of Bush, and I think a Democrat is probably going to get in, but that doesn't mean there's somehow some liberal revolution coming I don't think. I mean, I guess its possible, Reagan was able to get a lot of his ideas through because people were sick of Carter, you know, even though a lot of people thought he was a nutcase pre-1980, and moved the country to the right, but its by no means certain.
