If I had to chose a modern day coach, it would be Mike Nolan in San Fran. He is an "old school" type of coach, and I think it would be fun to play for him.

All time, I would say Paul Brown. This man dominated pro-football from the mid 40's to the mid 60's. No one was better. Lombardi and Walsh are very close 2nd to him.

@ Tony H.

You call Dungy a hypocrite? Then say Vince Lombardi. Why don't you learn a little about both men before jumping to conclusions? "When Pride Still Mattered" is a great Lombardi biography. Great coach - horrible family man!

Id play for chuckie im a die hard Dolphins fan but come on man technically the dude took two teams to the superbowl in the same year Belicheck is a cheater and Dungy? seriously all that talent on that team all those years and only one ring with the exeption of norv turner any other coach would have three or more rings coaching that team.

Still coaching it would be Tony Dungy or Jon Gruden. But if anyone then Bill Cowher.

Dungy ignored his son and still ignores his family. Yet he run All Pro Dads.com. True hypocrit.

Vince Lombardi if he were alive. Godly man as well.

Herm Edwards, b/c i got in arguments w/ every coach that was a disciplinarian. I never dealt w/ people who thought they were authority figures very well.
All though his team sucks, hes laid back. Dungy is also a good choice for me.

Dungy's great, but I would never pass on the great Mike Shanahan.

Mike Singletary as a linebacker. Nothing beats learning from a Hall of Famer coaching his position.

If still living, Vince Lombardi or Bill Walsh. Living would have to be Tony Dungee or John Gruden.
