what causes ignition coils to keep going bad on my 1996 dodge ram 1500 6 cyl.?

Improperly gaped spark plugs.
Or burned up spark plug electrodes.

Change ALL your spark plugs.

You're hooking them straight to 12 volts instead of going through the resistor.
