Yes, I read the book early this year. It does lay out his "baby steps".
The short form is:
1. Set aside $1000 as a beginner Emergency Fund.
2. Debt Snowball.
3. Full emergency fund (3 - 6 months expenses).
4. 15% of income towards retirement.
5. College fund for children.
6. Pay off house.

Step 2 consists of listing all debts from smallest balance to largest. Pay the minimum on all but the smallest. Put everything you can toward the smallest. When you pay off the smallest, add that payment to the next smallest.

Last month I started delivering pizza part time to accelerate Steps 2 and 3.

I have the book and am half way through it. The whole program is outlined. You can do everything you need using the book if you want. It even has forms in the back.

Dave also has programs and live events for those that need more encouragement. His radio show is also inspirational.

I have read it and been trough FPU. Both lay out the same program (someone above outlined the babysteps) and he tells you why you need to do them in order and why he gives certain advice instead of just "do it."

Very easy to read, very easy to comprehend and once you get the hang of the process- easy to keep going. We have been using his principles for almost 2 years and we are getting out of debt and dealing with emergencies with little fan fare.

I've not read the book but I have been through his Financial Peace University. I understand the book has basically the same information. It is a proven plan.

What program are you talking about? My husband read it & we try to apply the rules that he gives in there every month. It's working for us...so if you do what he says it will help you.

Yes. It is an excellent read - the "program" is simply a process. It works WELL
