If you are a typical middle-American type of person it is just what you want. BUT if you are someone with tremendous intelligence or star-quality talent, you would not fit in. A lot of the choice spots are already taken by people who are, at best, adequate at what they do. But no one in San Antonio really wants to work for excellence. It's more important to them to take it easy, party with friends, join in with all the usual stuff.
No great artists live in San Antonio. The really good ones move to places like New York, Berlin, Tokyo, Los Angeles, etc.

OH , I love San Antonio! The Riverwalk is the best, so many restaurants, eating along side the river, the history of the place, it's great. I stayed at the Menger hotel, I loved it, sitting in the bar where Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders hung out, how cool. The Alamo is pretty neat as well. A lot of homeless people though!

It's a beautiful charming historic big town fast becoming a bigger than life city. Lots of fun things to do and wonderful places to live. It is sunny normally on average over 250 days a year. We rarely have a day under 50 degrees. We are at the bottom of the hill country and are only 2 hours from the beach. We are about 750 ft above sea level. It's going to be especially exciting when Disney breaks ground in about 5 years in Seguin. This is not a rumor. I heard it from one of the Disney personnel staying in Seguin during a meeting with some of the government officials. This is going to be a wild west type of Disney with the Mickey in Cowboy clothes and lots of informatin on the Pecos and Geronimo and the Alamo. It's going to be both fun and historical. I am really looking forward to it.

horrible place frequented mostly by criminals. the entire city is a garbage dump. noone takes pride in the city, people care only about the spurs and absolutely nothing else. litter is everywhere. noone here knows how to drive. blinkers are apparently things that are absent from drivers ed courses. no healthy places to eat, all the food is doused in gallons of grease. oh and it is true, a vast majority of both the female and male population is morbidly obese. all the jobs are low paying, the cost of living is similar to other big cities while property value is low, primarily bc of supply and demand, meaning their is little demand. the entire city smells like an exhaust pipe as well. i lived in other places which i wish i could say were worse, san antonio by far has been my worst living experience.
