I understand you can take a time-out to ice the kicker.

However, the ball was already in the air when the whistle blew to grant the time-out. That is a bunch of garbage because a time-out is supposed to be granted before the snap.

I am not a fan of either team, but the Raiders definitely got screwed on that one.

at first, the Raiders are actually not effective. Secondly, no the Raiders won't win against the Broncos. have you ever been paying interest? The Raiders are actually not playing at the same time. They get leads yet can in no way save them because of the fact they're undisciplined. The Broncos are on their thank you to prevailing a vulnerable branch and a playoff berth. they have extra weapons and are properly coached. the subject with the Raiders is Al Davis. With him as proprietor, they do no longer stand a guess. If he leaves then they gets extra suitable counting on how properly the subsequent proprietor and GM does. yet until eventually then savor the losses.

THe time out should have been called before the snap. The raiders are used to this the refs have hated them for years. We can't take this game back but us Raider Fans have the satisfaction of knowing who should have won the game. So that leaves our division with The Chiefs???? I really think we have that one. The Chargers??? Norv Turner killed another team, and The Broncos......we all know who should have won. And everyone says that the Raiders suck? Think about it.

i can't stand either team!! but this was terrible what happened. I love that the raiders have lost so many games in a row, but they got screwed on this one.. Shanihan is shady and does a lot of crooked things.. I remember the game in the playoffs when the broncos played the chiefs and had something on their jersey which made them slippery.. this guy cheats with every chance he gets

No. The coach told the ref he was going to do that. I thhink that's one of the rules. I'm not a Raiders or Broncos fan but I did feel bad for the Raiders.

I thought the game was over, then Shanahan come out with his time out. I was not surprised by the outcome of the game at all. Bad calls are coming this year.

The Titans got screwed, blued and tatooed during there game. The pass interference call that went un noticed. They should have converted the first down, then scored a touchdown.

There needs to be a monotary fine for refs who screw games up, then they will pay more attention to game play.

There was nothing shady about it. It was perfectly legal. All coaches use a time out to "ice" Field goal kickers. Shanahan just did it at the perfect time.

He had even told an official that he was going to call a time out. The official was near him, he called the time out, the whistle blew, Oakland snapped the ball, etc.....

Janikowski lost that game for Oakland plain and simple. It had nothing do to with cheating or with shady practice. Denver lucked out big time, but it's a legitimate win. That's the way it goes sometimes.

If Oakland was smart they would have tried the same thing in OT. But Oakland just isn't that smart.

GO BRONCOS!!!

Shady outcome? It was a great coaching move on Shanahans part. Nothing illegal, he informed the refs PRIOR to the snap what he was going to do and he called the time out PRIOR to the ball being snapped. Janakowski choked the second kick.
