Cricket Invasion??

Please help!! I am being overrun with crickets in my house. I have thought about creating a cricket cemetary I have bumped off so many. It seems that as fast as I hit them with a shoe, 15 of their relatives come to eat the body. How do I keep them out of my house, they are keeping me awake at night

Set out a cereal sized dish half full of water with a few drops of dish soap added. The crickets will jump in for a drink and not be able to escape.
