Any number that is divisible by two. This means that the number will end in either 0,2, 4, 6, or 8.

For example, 108 is an even number because it ends with "8", and so is 6 because it's only number is "6".

However, 501 is not even and neither is 1003, because neither of them ends with a 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8. Any number that does not end with these even numbers are called odd numbers.

Odd numbers are any number that ends with 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9.
