I live very near the Bush Ranch...nuff said!
It's not just the foreign terrorists that have to be considered here.

I live in a rural area in mid-america and people seem to think we are not a high priority target but what a lot of people do not realize is that a disruption in the interstate system would cause shortages all across the country and that would impact the economy in a negative way,not to mention allowing the terrorists to prove they can strike anywhere at any time,we have a nuclear power plant in our area and I hope and believe they have beefed up security there but still you have to wonder.

I live near the oil pipeline crossroads of America, that could be a target. At the moment I live in a very small town so the likelihood is low but I am contemplating moving back to a college town because the school system offers more. There I am a little nervous of a take over of a school as I believe that to be what is planned next.
I fear that we have not been vigilant and our acceptance of other cultures will be used against us and a very large number of children are going to die.

Very likely. I am an American living in Germany. The germans just foiled a plan by three german muslim terrorists to bomb Frankfurt Airport and Ramstein Air Base, where wounded soldiers are brought, in an attempt to kill as many Americans as possible. European borders are wide open, so anything is possible. This sort of thing has been going on here for the last 40 years. Anyone who thinks the war on terror is going to be over soon is out of touch with reality.

ConcernedCitizen said “…I think the odds of being a victim of a terrorist attack are about the same as the odds of being struck by lightning twice in the same place”
I understand your point, but that’s a weak example. Why do you think lighting rods were invented?
We should all be on the alert for another attack. Even if cows outnumber people in your town 5 to 1, any attack anywhere would certainly be a philological blow for the entire country.

I live in Davis, California, a small college town in northern California. I wont say that stuff about 9/11, but it doesn't seem like a valuable terrorist target. We're not on the coast, we're a half an hour at least from any city that is worthwhile (Sacramento), and we're of little strategic value.

I don't believe the war has necessarily made us safer, but nevertheless I think the odds of being a victim of a terrorist attack are about the same as the odds of being struck by lightning twice in the same place, and maybe lower. I'm not going to live my life in fear because that's what the terrorists want. If we give up our freedom or our ethics for the illusion of feeling safer, we've lost.

The Trans-Alaska Pipeline has been mentioned a few times in terrorist messages, but I don't worry about it at all.
We all have a far greater chance of dying in traffic.

I live in Pittsburgh, so it is unlikely. We are too small of a city. Terrorists go for the big score.
