yes, you can just knock on their door, tell them you are a foreigner, and see how they will greet you!! They will offer you simply everything they have

Lebanese people are friendly and most of them are down to earth, very helping people

Well , as a complete stranger I can say we were welcomed with open arms & hearts , not just by family but by everyone we had contact with .
People in shops , on footpaths , in taxis ...you name it ....all made us feel welcome , wanted to know where we were from , why we chose to visit Lebanon & how long we were staying .....even wanted us to visit their homes to meet their families !
Compare that with most parts of the world for hospitality !

we're very friendly.. very open-minded and accepting of otehr nationalities and cultures...
Lebanese ppl also happen to be from almost everywhere... you'd always find ppl who are lebanese and from a country in Europe, or America, Latin America.... Australia... we're here in Lebanon and from the whole world..
