Seeing as most great mid-carders eventually reached main event statues, I'll have to chosoe Owen Hart.

Since someone said Owen Hart, I will take the British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith. In Royal Rumbles, he has a great history. He never won one, but he was there at the end all the time. He could have been champ and made the company money I think. His 1992 Main Event against Bret was a great solid PPV and made tons of money and had a huge reaction from the fans. So I think it is the British Bulldog.
