because it's also in our human nature to disagree. If there is nothing hard or challenging to keep us together, we fall apart and fight each other. If nothing bad happens to us, an event that makes us realize we are not larger than life and that it is also in our nature to help and support each other, we try to acquire power over our fellow men. I personally think this will never change, no matter how far we evolve violence,difference, struggle for power are written in our DNA and comes as natural to some as breathing.
