I say that it will be Cleveland vs. New York Mets. Here is my opinion why:
AL
1. the Indians have the best 1-2-3 rotation in the majors right now with: Sabathia, Carmona, and Byrd.
2. They are 7th in the AL in batting avg.; 6th in AL in HR; 5th in AL in RBI's. All this with both Sizemore and Hafner having off years at the plate.
NL
1. simple-- the Mets are the only team that has been consistent all season, home or away in the NL.
2. with Pedro back, their pitching staff will be much improved for their postseason run.

I think that this will be Clevelands year. The Tribe has a great combination of arms and bats this year to content for a title.

My Mets are going all the way this year. And right now, like others have said, the Red Sox, Angels, or Padres are the best prospects. Personally, I think it'll be the padres, but who knows.

But no way of a Subway Series; Yankees have been sluggish all season and just are not a strong enough club this year to pose a threat.

I agree. Yanks and Mets to meet as a repeat of 2000. The Yanks win in seven games over Boston in ALCS, and Mets breeze by Arizona in NLCS. The Yankees and Mets will then fight it out all the way to game 7, and the Yankees take it.

It is hard to say though, because the Mets seem very good and extremely consistent, and with Pedro back, they really don't seem to have a weakness pitching-wise, with John Maine, Tom Glavine, Orlando Hernandez, and Pedro. Plus their lineup is loaded and they have Billy Wagner.

The Yanks, however, have a pretty talented club as well, specifically with the bats. They have Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Hideki Matsui, Bobby Abreu, Robinson Cano, and Jorge Posada, among others. They also have Joba Chamberlain, Roger Clemens, Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte, Phil Hughes, Mike Mussina, and Chein-Ming Wang. Should be a good series.

What subway series are you talking about?
It's a freeway series, buddy. The LA Dodgers and the Anaheim Angels. Dodgers in 6.
