You should not have a problem with the computer unless the vehicle has a stock immobilizer system (call the dealership to find out). If your replacing the steering column I would recommend you have your exisiting key coded to the replacement ignition switch so you don't have to depend on your keyless entry. It's just easier have one key for everything. Plus, if you do have an immobilizer system you don't have to worry about reprogramming the key.
The key IS programmed to the computer NOT the ignition switch or steering column. The signal runs through the switch and wiring harness to the engine control module. The dealership can confirm that!

Replacement column should work fine---the chip in the used column key will probably be a different value or code than your original key chip so you have two options...replace the key for the used column with one that has the proper chip and have it cut to match the used column key cuts ( a locksmith with the proper equipment for the security system or a dealer would have to do this) or have your original ignition lock removed from the old column and installed in the used column (again, a locksmith could do this). The computer just needs to read the proper chip code in the key to start and the key has to be able to turn the ignition cylinder. The ignition cylinder is just wired to the computer to read the chip code from the key and has no bearing on the alarm system other than that. I believe the door key is a separate one on that year so it should not be affected either way. If it is the same as ignition, then you're better off swapping the old ignition into the used column to keep one key for all the locks.

As long it is the correct make and model, you should be OK. I you have a few extra bucks, you can hire a locksmith, who also works on vehicle ignitions, to re-code the ignition on the junk yard column. If not, you can just use your existing key to open the doors and the key that you got with the used column to start the vehicle. Call the Cadillac dealer and ask the parts counter guy to make sure.

Your gonna get a million solutions through fact despite if we've been interior the vehicle and felt it it ought to nevertheless be a paying for record of issues. The tie rods and tires/wheels are the final first place to start yet as long as you nevertheless have the subject your in a topic the place you're able to desire to get rid of each element interior the guidance gadget between the guidance wheel and the line. Get under the vehicle and have somebody get in and turn the wheel look into each thing and attempt to locate something that shifts until now the tires turn. Then stay under the vehicle and have you ever helper shake the vehicle to make certain in case you have any play interior the mounts. You pronounced a clunking and which you had the tie rod ends replaced before yet nevertheless had the subject you're able to have taken it back. i wish the 1st element that replaced into checked replaced into the pitman arm. If the nut replaced into working unfastened on that and it replaced into dropping on the splines you will possibly get a clunk whenever you grew to become the wheel from part to part yet maximum noticable you will possibly have very sloppy guidance. "ought to or no longer this is broken belts or placed on" - Vibration through tires is from an inbalance. placed on and broken belts might reason an inbalance yet so can undesirable production, harm to the belts from pot holes or curbs and of direction a foul interest of balancing the tires by using the technician who fixed them. good success!
