I'd love to be attacked by the same sex!!
In answer to your question...I am one of five children from straight parents. I am the only homosexual.
I do know of one lesbian who has two brothers - both gay - straight parents.
I've known of twins where one or both are either straight/gay.
I have a 15 yr old daughter, and god help me, she's straight...and beautiful....
I do believe it is my birthright.
...and I'd love to see your jeans

Actually it can be genetic. The PETA organization WAS supporting a scientific study to find out if it's the person's personal choice if they don't have a say in the matter of being gay or no. But after scientists started thinking on their own and started trying to learn ways to determine what genes are the gay genes and remove them from a person/objects genetic code before they're born. Scientists THINK they have found a gene that could determine the sexual orientation of a person. Personally I kind of think it does but doesn't. If it didn't I probably could turn myself straight. But I believe we are born this way and even if it isn't genetic then we still couldn't do anything about it. But overall I believe it CAN be genetic or it can be just who you are. I hope I helped a little. Good day.

From what I've read about homosexuality, it is not genetic. Researchers seem to think that the sexual orientation of a person is decided by the amount of different hormones a developing fetus receives- for instance, a homosexual male may have experienced a higher level of estrogen in the womb than normal. Your brothers may or may not be gay, but it's most likely not a question of genetics.
Also, environment does not really factor into the equation. Though being homosexual is not genetically decided, it IS biologically decided. Which means the environment won't change a person's orientation. It might change how a gay person acts in the environment, but won't change how he or she is biologically set up.

No. There is a greater chance that a gay person comes from a divorced home raised by the mother then has any gay members in their family.
But you bring up a good point. If you are openly gay and people believe that being gay is genetic, then would girls want to marry your brothers knowing that they may carry the gay gene and pass it to your nephews?

My mom told me once that back in the day she had a friend that turned out to be a lesbian and her brother gay also - although they did have another sister that wasn't.
