i know of a person who was cut off in an intersection by a kid who had 2 or 3 friends in his car (which is above the legal limit for kids his age in his home state) and he ran over the person he cut off. The person was riding his motorcycle & died about 3 1/2 weeks later. the kid was let off with a fine. the DA stated that there was no proof that he was distracted despite his friend yelling out the window of the car. they also stated that he was not responsible for the actions of the passengers. is this right, or is this showing other young drivers that its okay to kill somebody because you look where your friend yelled?

the kid got off w/o negligence charges, which was what the real charges were, not murder.
