How convenient, It. saves them having to defy the judge and fight extradition which would be the worst PR possible for them. Don't things just have a way of working in their favour. As for the British police questioning them "when they find it appropiate", I think this stinks of a cover up. Friends in high places and plenty of money can work miracles.

The Portuguese judge reviewing the case has requested that the British police interview the McCanns, this was done through Europol, I am sure that if they do not, many questions will be asked and answers demanded.

In 2004 an International Arrest Warrant was brought into force, which means a defendant would have to be extradited usually within 6 weeks to the country exercising the warrant.

It would be very, very difficult for them to fight this extradition order.

I hear you. Though all the hype the McCann's have created about being wrongfully accused, I don't blame them. Heaven forbid they would have to go back, that would make the Portuguese legal system evil, wouldn't it? Having to under go questioning anyone else would have to go though, shame on the Portuguese police... Let's not upset the McCann's, let's question them when it's convenient for them.....Last I saw, they have plenty of time...right now. People seriously need to look at this in a realistic manner, this is just unreal. To think the McCann's want the focus to get back to their daughter, wouldn't they want to clear their names rather sooner than later? Guilty or not guilty, that's not what this is about.

If my memory serves me right, the majority of 'anti' McCanns were outraged that they continued to stay in Portugal, with regular chants of "they should be back at home looking after the twins" or is the fund money paying for their extended 'holiday'?. The McCanns decided they would come home, this was public knowledge, then they were question, then we had the furor of DNA which so far as come to nothing.

They are damned if they do damned if they don't!

Have you considered that they are innocent and they will not be extradited because they have no charge against them?

Do people honestly want them to be guilty of murdering their child because they are so angry with them for leaving their kids alone.

This stinks of something alright, it stinks of a witch hunt on a grand scale!

Whatever the McCann's do it's never right. Now looks like there is going to be an outcry against the British Police. Pity all you out there that seem to know the McCann's are guilty don't get your bums offf your seats, leave your computers and solve the case. You have to put your money where your mouth is! I don't know if they are guilty or not and truth is neither do you.

Oh dear Transbabe. What a biased question. Why don't you just come out in the open and say they did it.A couple of points for you to read. To convict anyone you need hard evidence. In this case there is no evidence, no witnesses, not even a body (thankfully) Nothing except speculation from "detectives "like you and you can't convict on pure speculation or circumstantial evidence. Ok
