What can I do about a co worker who's envious/jealous of me & caused me lots stress. I really like the company I work for, but gosh, this demon posessed-cow...LOL..has really got it in for me! She's a manipulating-2 face BEOTCH! I'm a hard worker. I do my job & want 2 succeed in it just like everyone else. Mad cow has been lying 2 my boss. Tells the boss I'm late everyday. That I'm hardly ever at work & that I don't do my job corerctly. All of those things are lies! Since I was promoted into her department. She was the cow who trained me. NO manuals! I knew right away! She tried 2 confuse me & set me up to fail. One day she would tell me how 2 do a certain task & the next day, she would tell me it isn't they she explained it. I began documenting everything. Her lies were exposed. Now she's accusing me of something else she has no proof of. Me & another coworker have spoken 2 our boss about her 2 mo.'s ago. She's done the same 2 the other coworker. She won't teach us anything more! Help

Has your boss done anything about this? I am appalled. You have everything documented, you have other coworkers on your side and yet you still have to put up with this? It is ridiculous. If you need to go somewhere higher up then I would do so. In my opinion you did the right thing by going to your boss. I just wish it sounded like something was accomplished by doing so.

and what did your boss say when you talked to her i assume nothing!
sence you ask this DUH!!
Okay here is what you need to do!
1. ignore her and go above here head if your unclear on what your to do! Ask your boss... This will call her out in a nice way with out you looking like your trying to get her into some trouble
2. be proactive and think! - if she want tell you the figure it out for yourself and show your boss! """ I wasn't sure if this was the correct way to do xxx but here is waht i did! ""
if your boss notices this trend of you need reasuracne explain why! prior! say i wasn't sure if this was the way and COW is too busy to show me the right way and she didn't explain to me well the first time. sorry would love your imput

3.if cow says your there late ENSURE your there early and even send out an e-mail to all employees even if it's a joke.. or some sort of consirn your boss will note the time

chances are your boss knows what is going on but don't know how to fire someone or could care less..

4. confront the COW this may take them off guard!
just say
"Hey why are you telling so in so that i'm late. and what about these other lies! What in the world is wrong with you! do you need help. a friend, something I will try to help you but with you pointing all this blame at me makes me thing you have something personal that i did to you and if so I need and want to know. "

Or send a e-mail to her and boss stating that when she explains things to you you get confuse to please make a walkthrought or type up some sort of how to so i can refrence that! and so it's by you so i don't confuse my own notes! I am workign on my note taking skills but would love that added boost from someone who really knows what to do and excells at it!
then when she says i didn't tell you to do it that way ! you have [proof that she did.. and break it out say oh then what does this mean!

Sucks that yiou have to deal wiht it but sounds like she has some issue! and seems like everyone is letting her win!

Document in writing everything that has happened, date, what was said. It may be time for you to speak directly to Human resources or your bosses superior. The cow-worker is creating a hostile and unhealthy environment for you.

If the employer refuses to do anything you may be able to file a discrimination complaint with the EEOC and your state's Human Rights Department. Look at www.eeoc.gov and do an Internet search for the Human rights Dept in your state. Look a the area's of discrimination (age, sex, religion, etc). You may be able to accuse the employer of preferential treatment with the cow-worker and discrimination against you if you qualify for one of these discrimination basis.

In my opinion you may follow the following course of action.
1 Have a frank discussion as to why she is indulging in to back biting? What she wants to achieve by that?
2 In case she hears to you and changes her attitude, it is OK. Otherwise tell her clearly that nobody can survive or prosper by telling lies or fabricating stories. Sincerity and hard work only helps in career growth. Let her mind her own business instead of interfering in your work and carrying false stories to others.
3 It is not difficult to convince your boss and other collegues with facts and figures as you are sincere in your duty.
4 Only truth will prevail over a long period of time.

file a report with the EEOc and sue her for slander or....

don't do the responsible thing do the fun thing have s&m brocures and magazines be sent to her place of employment in her name pass out her card to nasty guys, place her add for women seeking women on craigslist with work # but make sure you place enough adds so the boss catches her talking all crazy to people on the phone. have her personal email or imcriminating evidence sporatically placed in the paper feeder in the copy machine so when people make copies they get a piece of the real deal.have sales people come see her at work. apply for all these only schools, workshops, fundraisers and haev them call her and visit her at work

If you've alerted the boss and nothing has changed, it's time to look for other employment. In the meantime, make sure you have witnesses to her misdeeds, if at all possible.

start gathering your proof, and perhaps recordings, when you think it's enough you and your co-worker take it to your boss, let him view it, then let him know that with the proof you have if he doesn't do anything to straighten out the lies, the labor board will.

unless shes sleeping with the boss, she will be found out eventually...further, as a boss/owner of a company, don't you think they are more in-tune with what goes on in the shop then just another tattletale squealing on everyone.
I'm sure if she is yakin about you, don[t you think she is bellyaching about others.
her time will come, just do you job to the best of your ability.
shine her on.........
