I think the idea of a Perfect Christmas is a dangerous one. I've seen too many ruined because every little detail didn't live up to some tv-like fantasy.
Having said that, I am happy if I find a really cool gift for someone on my short list. I like to find the right Christmas cards - something edgy without being sentimental. And I hope to see a bunch of friends during the season. I actually like the run up to Christmas more than the day itself. It's the excitement of the season vs the reality that makes it for me.

The minimum that is required for it to be a perfect Christmas is for it to be held in the house I grew up in with the rest of the family.
What would make it even more perfect is if it were really cold outside and snowing heavily throughout the day. That to me is the cherry on top to an otherwise perfect day.

Simple, but loaded with family & friends. It is not the "one day" I like. I like the season in general, the decorations, the spirit, the baked goodies, the music, everything looks so pretty. Seeing the excited little kids faces. As far as family goes, We put up the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. Start making a bit of candy, baking things to share at work, or take to close neighbors. We have gifts, but we don't do the huge big expensive gifts for everyone. Married children might get one gift for the home between them. Grandkids, get small toys with necessary item's such as clothes & things also. We gather for dinner on Christmas Day as a big family, but stay at our homes with our kids on Christmas Eve for gifts & a small snack type fun meal & singing or watching good christmas movies.
I guess in short a small, close knit old fashioned Christmas is ideal.

A Christmas where everyone is in peace, healthy and sharing what they have with friends, family and those who are less fortunate. It's a time of year to really come together. That's a perfect Christmas to me.

Wow great question!
Mine would be having all of my families card and presents made/bought, beautifully wrapped and dropped off to them by christmas eve.
Me and my partner work in the same building and we will actually have to work christmas eve, but we're looking forward to it. All of our work mates will be feeling merry and we've have a big work feast. Management let's us go early usually, so we'll all go off to a bar and drink and chat. No one stays too late or gets drunk because it's christmas the next day. I'll probably get home at 9pm and make sure the house is perfect for thenext day.
My partner and I will go to bed at about 11pm. And we'll wake up about 6am. We'll lay in bed for a bit and then we'll go downstairs and turn on the christmas lights and some christmas music and open our presents!
Happy holidays!

A perfect Christmas will be the one where my husband believes in Christ.
Besides that I want to go to the mountains and have a white Christmas in a cabin, bring our tree and gifts and have Christmas morning with hot choa choa in front of the fireplace.

Lots of lights. Having the whole family around the tree as we open presents, and having snow on the ground helps too.
