My fiance and I were visiting my parents and sisters, since we live far away, none of them had seen her belly. We were all sitting around when my niece came in and said (because her mom just had a baby recently) "Jeeze, does someone ALWAYS have to have a baby belly around here??!!"

My son was very upset at first as he is 10 and always been the baby. He was ok with the idea, after awhile, until he found out it is a girl. Now he says silly things like, "My sister is coming soon huh? Great someone to annoy me. If she wants to play dolls, she will have to find someone else". lol. But he will be fine wants he gets a bit older. Good luck

When I was pregnant, close to full term and my daughter almost 2 would say. "mom, my sister is taking up all the room on your lap, have her scoot over" it was so cute.
When I was pregnant with my first I was shopping with my cousin and her 4 yr old daughter and I was pushing the cart with her in it, and she kept looking at me then my stomach over and over and finally looked up and said "ok so how you gonna get that baby out of there" I told her to ask her mommy.
I have always been honest with my kids about how a baby comes out (have not approached how they are made yet LOL) but though it should be my cousins choice.

My daughter is the same way with my son! She kisses my tummy every morning and every night before she goes to bed. She constantly wants to be involved with what I'm doing whether its looking for baby stuff online, or just massaging my tummy. She is going to be such a great little helper!!! She is telling EVERYONE that she is having a little brother!

well even though my son is 3 years old he loves the fact that i am pregnant! at first i was worried he was too small to even catch the concept of mommy being pregnant be boy did he surprised me. he is so happy he will ask me permission to kiss the baby and it is the cutest thing. he tells me he is going to play soccer ball with the baby and he is going to take him to school. lol last time i went in for my doctors appt he aksed if i was going to the doctor so she could take out the baby.... god kids say the cutest things. I am glad that your lil one seems happy and one thing that i have told my hubby and made it very clear not to be talking negative things about the baby like for example i have seen that many children start to actually have issues for the reasons that the parents say things like well your misbehaving so we don't like you anymore now that we are having another baby!! very wrong i think that is why he loves me being pregnant because we don't say thihngs like that we show him that he is still our number one lil man and he will always be! well good luck and congratulations!

LOL about your niece thinking that babies come from Walmart. :) Too cute.
When I was pg with my second child, we found out that we were having a girl. My son, when we told him, came over to me and put his hand and face on my belly and said "Awww, girl." He was 2 1/2 at the time.
When we found out that she would be born with a cleft lip/palate, we explained to him what was going on. When she was born, he was totally in love with her and his biggest concern was "Mama, does it hurt her?"
:)
My niece, when I was pg with my son, was hoping that I was having a puppy. LOL.

I chose not to know the sex of my second child since they got it wrong the first time! My son, who turned 3 two months before she was born, would say things like "there are two babies in there-one for you and one for me", and "I'm going to call it "Alvin" and I hope it's a chipmunk!"
Heck, he called her Alvin over the weekend-and she's 12!
