What does this mean? Is it an ancient proverb?

A wise man once told me negatives always come with positives, but positives never really come with negatives.

When we are facing a negative situation, we have to try to look for the positives. When we are facing a positive situation, looking for the negatives is a useless thing to do. Also known as "borrowing trouble".

What it means is, when life hands you lemons, make lemonade, and when life hands you a glass of lemonade with a fly in it, you probably still don't have anything to drink.
