I just bought a 1990 Ford Escort, and I was told the CV joints were bad. Not sure if it's one or both. First question is how do I know if it's one or both? Second question is, say I purchased the parts myself, what is the labor likely to cost? I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle this.

in case you decide directly to interchange it your self. you will get whats called a rebuilt a million/2 shaft for 60 - a hundred funds dependng on the place you're. that's alot eaiser for many DYI'ers then attempting to interchange only the CV joint at present axel. in case you get it finished your staring at 3 or 4 hrs exertions on acceptable of that. Thats what maximum places charge.
