so, i bought a chrysler (and some of you know what i'm going to say, and no it's not "it seats about twenty") ... my problem is that the transmission is already about to die! i just got this car ((a 300 m spec)) in december of last year and its only an 02 w/ 75K on it!! i've been told recently that that's just how chrysler's are (as they laugh and walk away). how much is it gonna be to fix that?

Check the drive train warranty. I could be wrong but at that time Chrysler had either a 7/70 or a 10/100 on the power train. If it is not covered under warranty, a new transmission will probably be a few thousand. You can also look at getting a factory refurbished transmission or have yours rebuilt. It all depends on what is wrong with it.

check your warranty that should be under warranty or close enough to make a case with chrysler.

That isn't "just a chrysler" problem --- sounds like a "previous owner with a heavy foot" problem....
