doctor said they will give me pitocin (sp?) and break my water.... ok my question is I was in labor for 4 hrs with my 1st & for a half hour with my second.... am I in for a looooong, drug out labor or should it go fairly fast?

Your labor should be fairly fast again. I was induced with my two children and from the time they broke my water the first time I was holding her at in 1 hr. 17 minutes and the second time I was holding her in 30 minutes.

I would ask your doctor. I would think it would be fairly quick. I was induced with my first and it was about 8 hours total from the time they started the iv and only about 2 hours after they broke my water. My second was not induced, but it only took about an hour and forty-five minutes. It might seem long to you since your other labors were so short, but I've always been told that 8 hours was short for a first baby.

I would think that your labor would be the same, maybe a little longer because of the induction, but I probably wouldn't expect you to go 14 hours or something.
You are obviously good at pushing the babies out, so I would hope you can move this one along as well :) Good luck to you!!

Every baby comes at his/her own pace, so it is hard to say. I had all four of my children induced and averaged 8-10hr labor. Delivery, however, was a breeze every time!

There's no way to tell! Sounds like you're on your way to a fast labor, but only your baby can tell. Good luck!

Should hopefully be fast. I was induced with my 1st and was 1hr 11mins so hoping for quick again!!
