McDonald's and most restaurants are pretty stern about that sort of thing. Just go visit a McDonald's and watch them. Tell the manager you're interested in seeing how they make the food. They might give you a tour!

The book "Fast Food Nation" might give you some good insight. Otherwise, Mcdonald resturants themselves recieve all the food already prepared. All they have to do is cook it up in the grease and toss on the veggies.
