Hi...I've got some strange Alliums, with nearly purplish black florets and smelly leaves!...They send up leaves in fall and Each flower bulb produces dozens of Yellow, lemon-pip-like offsets and dies after... How can I fatten the bulblets for next season's bloom? What potting mixture/fertilizing plan do you suggest for best bulblet growth?...

Alliums are biennials--having a two year life span. Proper soil, correct nutrients, a climatizing your bulbs should do it. Good luck. PS: Allium is related to onions, so you're stuck with the stink!

Can't beat MiracleGro. Yours sound like wild garlic I've seen around the hood.
