To clear space on your hard drive, there's several things you can do.
1- remove programs you don't use or need
(Start > Settings > Control Panel >Add/Remove Programs, click the program, click Change/Remove button)
2- clean the registry with Eusing Registry Cleaner

3- clean up useless files with CCleaner

4- remove files such as videos, music, etc by burning to CD then deleting the files from your hard drive
If after doing these steps, you don't have at least 25% free space, buy and add another hard drive. (check your free space--Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Defrag)
.

Buy a new HD. If yours is that full, it'll start failing soon.

Try ccleaner

Other than that, you may have to remove some programs you no longer use.
