Are we exaggerating just a little here, my fuzzy friend? I agree that a bath every day is silly for people who don't work up a sweat. Someone who sits at a desk in a clean office with air conditioning, for example. Also, it dries out your hair and skin too much. But once a week is about as bad as I'd want to see it get. Twice a week is much better. You know how it is; body odors and greasy looking hair -- like Professor Snape.

Agreed. I find it necessary to bathe only once a month if I manage to find the time to lick myself clean once a week.

I have no sense of smell (notice I'm missing a nose...)
I bathe daily JUST to be safe.

it wakes me up in the morning.
it makes me feel clean.
"necessary" doesn't mean we should, for example: really, it's only necessary to breathe once a minute.

because we've allowed ourselves to define social acceptance based upon (over)use hygiene products; the more we use, the more they make money, so they have strong motivation to make us scrub more than is even healthy.
