24/8=3

3-(-5)= 15 because a negative times a negative is a positive. When a number is in () it means to multiply.

15+2=17.

14/-2=-7 multiply it by -4 and that's 28. - X - =+

Finally, 3 X -2= -6 so 28-6=23.

-24/ 8- (-5) +2
8+5+2 (because the negatives cancel out)=15
-24/ 15 = -1.6

14/ (-2) - (-4) +3(-2)
-2+4 -6 = -4
14/-4= -3.5

Simplify the denominator first
8 * 5 + 2
divide -24 by the result

Same procedure for the other problem. Neg x neg = positive, neg x pos = neg
