I just realized as I posted a question with details about Dukalink6000's "beaucoup" points that, since nobody here can spell, I should write "boo-coo" so they'd understand what I was typing.
It's sometimes lonely being one of the ones that can actually spell....

I always try to spell correctly, but I often wonder why I even bother to make the effort. I know people justify their ignorance by claiming to use "computer language" or by saying they just "wanna have fun"... but it's irritating to have to translate the question before answering it.
But, I do confess that I get a real kick out of some of the more stupid renditions such as a question I read last week that began "I've heard the police are looking for Kate's dairy"....
Can't you just visualize them following a trail of cow pies?
If nothing else, bad spelling can produce a smile :)

Yes I'm fairly good at spelling and won a spelling bee when I was a kid. I also have spellcheck which comes with Yahoo tool bar (US spelling only however, so I get a lot of error messages even though I haven't made any).
However, it's easy to make typing mistakes on here (I'm a very poor typist), so I imagine that's where the "poor spelling" comes from in many cases.
I'm not fussed actually by spelling/grammar problems ... life's too short to worry about things like that.

What was that -- fifth grade when I graduated spelling? That's almost 20 years. I'm pretty sure I can spell. I don't know why in the world it's so difficult for some people. It's like they don't even try. It's as if they have NO RESPECT for the English language, so they just spit on it, degrade it, mutilate and molest it... then pass it on to their friends.
UPDATE: Ha ha -- it's funny how you ask a question about spelling or grammar, and you'll get a few people who will respond with a clear, concise, but unnaturally perfect sentence to prove they can spell.

Unfortunately, no one has congratulated me on that, yet. They always say that I have horrible grammar and bad spelling. Little do they know, I am far from that. The way that my profile depicts me to be, is nothing more than a random show. Yet, they fail to realize that. It's such a shame that people are against other people when they use their own creativity and randomness to write a little PROFILE description. I do not have to get rewared for my spelling/grammar mistakes. I am going to let everyone notice my obviously purposely made mistakes and just let them think what they want to think. =] =] =]

I can spell very well for my age, I'm always in the spelling bees, though sometimes I don't win.
When you see my answers on here, normally, I'm using the "computer language". Like :
u, 4, 2, l8er, ttyl, c ya, omg, omfg, lol, rofl, lmao, etc.
But I can spell very well, and use nice grammar when I feel like it.
There are people who cannot spell, and I probably wouldn't know what you are talking about either (the beau coup thing)
I don't care if people don't spell things right, I just like to help them out with their problem. Normally, on Polls and Surveys, its just for fun. I always use improper grammar and bad spelling. Its not school, if it was it wouldn't be fun...
so if i wanna talk like this, then i can, c?

Hey there, mischievous one! Glad to finally find a partner-in-crime. I've always prided myself in having a knack for spelling, and any grammatical or spelling errors always jump out to me. I personally think that constantly misspelling words shows A LOT about somebody, and is also SO nerve-wracking!!!
Alright, but enough about boasting!! It takes all kinds.......as they say, and we just gotta put up with 'em, I guess!

I'm good at spelling, but sometimes my fingers hit the wrong keys. I know where the spell check button is and I use it!

I am a good speller, but I am a very bad typist. I know how words are supposed to be spelled, but I sometimes type them wrong. I spell check a lot.

i can spell like at school though c: and i can actually use capital letters in when writing too, what a shock!!
but sometimes i misspell things on purpose ^_^ it depends who im writing too. lmao you should see my emails to my best friend, i bet you wouldnt understand a word! lmao!

Yes, I can spell, but the fact that many can't doesn't bother me, we are not in school here, most on here just wanna have fun!!!!
