I LOVE to read but seldom have the time. I am going on vacation soon and am looking forward to sitting on the beach and reading all day. (And parting all night LOL) NE way I love black love novels, poetry, self help, and inspirational books. Can you please give your recommendations on books to read and give a brief overview of what the book is about. Thank you in advance.

The Poisonwood Bible, by Barbara Kingsolver is my best recommendation.
It is about a evangelical Baptist who drags his family to the Congo in 1959. It is written by the different family member's points of view. The difference in culture, language and the horrors of a family caught in ignorance and civil war. A most interesting book.
On a totally different note read The Wolf and the Dove by Kahtleen Woodwiss. The ulimate medieval romance. You will love the characters. Unfortunately the authoress passed way this year.

I Am Legend by Richard Matherson. Great book! Read it before the movie's out this December!
