Cox Communications, full time....really enjoyed working there but after a while I got tired of working for them...they were too strict and I felt like a prisoner of that company. I was employed there 1 1/2 years.

My first full time job I got was at 16, and I was a waiter for an upscale retirement complex in San Diego. I loved the job and made so many friends,. I stayed there for almost 2 years, and they transferred me to another facility, where I didn't get along with the supervisors so I quit. Less than a week after quitting, they offered me my old job at the complex back, but I had already found a higher paying job elsewhere, and looking back, it would have been worth the pay cut to go back, but you don't see those kinds of things when you're young and offended.

At a gas station/deli. It was okay when I was working part time (I worked part time for 2 years while I was going to college), but when I moved to full time, I hated it. Altogether I worked there 3 and a half years. It took me a while to find the job I have now, but you couldn't make me go back, even if it paid the same.

My first real job full time with benefits was working in a group home for mentally ill adults. I loved it! I worked there 7 and a half years. I find something I like I can stick with it.
Peace.

My first actual paycheck job was at a Safeway in my hometown. I loved it, I was a Courtesy Clerk ( fancy name for a bagger). I got along well with al the checkers and I would sing songs with one of the checkers. We were known to all the regulars ar the "Singing Checker and Clerk". It was a blast. Then one say the managers touched my back and shoulders ( not just a pat on the back) I asked him to remove his hands before I did it for him. I was only there for about 6 months ( probationary period) then got "laid off", fancy term for canned.
The manager NEVER heard the end if it from t he regulars and the employees. His loss!!!!!

I worked for the State of Florida in the Bureau of International Trade (European Division) as a secretary after I graduated from Florida State. I liked it because my boss was always gone on overseas trips. I was there 1 year before I went in the Navy and was stationed in Hawaii.
