i keep reading and hearing about the war going on being BUSH`S war. i`m confused

was it bush`s plane blown up over scotland
was it bush`s embassy that was blown up in LEBANON?
was it bush`s lkuwait that was invaded and it`s residents slaughtered?
were those bush`s planes flown into bush`s twin towers?
were all the people in those planes buildings and lands relatives of bush.
were all the innocents killed by terrorists were they all related to bush?
while i don`t agree with everything gw does none of the above is true.
what is true is that most americans have forgotten these things and think bush is waging a personal war people we were attacked on american soil innocents were killed not military people i`am an older american they say the memory is the first to go wrong my feelings are as strong today as they on 9/11 my anger my anger has not faded it has always been that freedom comes with a price and as always our young soldiers pay that price people this is all of our`s war

sYou speak well - and you tell it like it is.
No war is popular - but as time goes on those that are weak in heart will be the first to start to bail.
I remember Lockerbie - I drove past the fields the day after the plane dove into the earth destroying a whole village and lives and families.
This is not just AMERICA or BUSH's war - this is war against the evil that men do in the name of a god.
And all the time God looks down and weeps.
Strength gains strength when the times get tough and those of us with heart will stay strong. Not only for our own sakes - but for the sakes of the weak and those with no voice only tears.
Do not let fear and weariness drain the spirit from you - we will finish what others began.
And we will do it standing side by side. USA and UK.

Cry FREEDOM from tyranny and terror.
Peace is the prize.

This war has nothing to do with hidden agenda's on Bush's part! I am sick to death of hearing this!

We are in this war because over and over, these radical terrorists have been attacking us since before 9-11! Look at our Foreign Embassies! We just sat back because those Embassies were on foreign soil! Then, they tried with the first bombing of the garage at the twin towers and so on!

This is NOT GW's war! This is OUR war! If Bush had not taken this to foreign soil, things would have played out much differently! I so wish everyone understood this! Do we want them here, on our soil? NO! Neither did Bush but, they did attack our soil and they have had more plans foiled to do so!

For all you who gripe about GW's war...remember the brave men and women on the plane in Pa. who stood together, in the face of death, for US!!! Now, do we whine and place blame on them too? NO! Get real! These people want us to worship Islamically and to be under their rule! This is why we are at war! To maintain our freedoms!

At the very heart of the "Bush bashing" is one little demon which demonstrates the elitist attitude of the most vocal critics. It's the fact that he's from Texas and he talks funny. It's not the clipped speech of an FDR or JFK. Not even that of a John Kerry. He doesn't even have one reminding folks of Elvis, like William Jefferson Clinton has. The same thing happened when LBJ ascended to the Presidency. Esquire magazine even had an article to help people "translate" LBJ's speech into standard English.
That demon is the one which raised the adrenaline level of the bashers and reminds them that "Bush stole the election of 2000". The fact that his opponent couldn't even carry his own home state in that election is conveniently ignored. The demon also blocks remembrance of the decade of denial. A decade in which little was done to counter the rise of Salafist Jihadists in this world. Even the attack on the World Trade Center in February 1993 was treated like a law enforcement problem, despite the fact that the sheik who headed the team had pledged "Bayat" (loyalty) to Bin Laden and all of the others involved in the bombing were fitted out with Sudanese passports. That's where Bin Laden was in exile after being expelled from Saudi Arabia.
But, I have to disagree with part of your discourse. Military people were killed. They were killed in the Pentagon. And not one mention of the charities allied with the military was ever made in the media after the attack on America, while the leaders of the country made plans to put other military on the point of the sword to deal with those who had attacked us. Shame on all of us!

Thanks for saying it my friend. The radical Islamic terrorist groups know they cannot defeat the free world with military action. Their recourse is to divide us politically and destroy our resolve. Regretfully, the left coast celebrity, the elitist media and the liberal democrats are playing right into their hands.

While our memory has little more than a 4 year span, the radicals are training their children to carry on with the hate and terror for the next century and beyond. Our withdrawal would not bring an end to the war. It would only signify our weakness and give the enemy a greater purpose.

Whether anyone realizes it or not this war involves a lot more countries than USA or UK . These two superpowers are more vocal and have more troops but other countries are losing their young men and women and sending young people home that are injured or maimed forever. No one has come out and said it but in my opinion this is a world war that has never been declared. My heart goes out to everyone that has been directly affected by this and thanks to people like Tealc666 we have our freedom which we tend to take for granted.

Thank you for speaking up!!

Americans tend to blame whomever is in office at the time, expecting that one man could fix all of our problems in 4 or even 8 years.

Jimmy Carter was president when the Iranians were holding American hostages. Remember how quickly they were released when Ronald Regean took office..........they feared his military might.

Bill Clinton was in office when the SS Cole was attacked in Yemen.

Vietnam saw three presidents, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon.

God Bless ALL of our soldiers..........

Thank you. I am so proud of you for speaking up. I feel as you do and my friend, I love our President. Everyone sure liked him a lot when he retaliated by hunting down the terrorists.

This is yet another example of the idiocy demonstrated by some of the people in our country, who will defame and blame anyone.
He also took over from another president who was fully aware of the situation going on in Iraq.
Two of my grandkids are in this war and I am very proud of them. They are both in Iraq and they volunteered. No draft, volunteered. Hooray for our armed forces. God Bless America. God protect our President who is doing his very best to protect us. Just because he doesn't share with the news media all that is happening is bringing down a lot of hate on him. The news media is largely responsible for this as well as the crooked politicians out there.

Again, Teal, thank you so much. I expect to get a lot of bad answers but I do not care. I am proud to be an American and proud to support the troops and thank them as well. Badmouthing a President is exactly what the terrorists want us to do. Good for their business.

Amen, Mr. Jello.

Some of these nimrods thinks Bush is a DICTATOR. He's not the one who MAKES things happen. Someone seems to have fallen asleep during U.S. GOVERNMENT class and what makes our government move. Time to start looking at their own elected officials in D.C. if they don't like the way things are going. Thank God those morons weren't around during WW2! We'd be speaking JAPANESE or GERMAN now!

How right you are. Uninformed and unaware of the level of the threats we are under need to get a grip. It is our push for freedom of fear and as perusual there will be losses. The worst part is the media now if anyone dies it is on the news in a heart beat. The wonderful things happening are never mentioned. God bless our troups.

G Dubbwa could be opposed on so many different Issues. The war and national security is one of the few things he gets right. The Dems are on the wrong side of this one.
