x^2 + 1 = 2x + 1 original equation
x^2 - 2x + 1 - 1 = 0 move everything to one side
x^2 - 2x = 0 simplify
x(x-2) = 0 take x to outside
x = 0 or x = 2 solve for zeros

x2 +1= 2x+1

x2 = 2x

so x=2

x*2 +1= 2x + 1
x*2 -2x = 0
x (x-2) = 0
x=0 or x=2
