What movie makes you cry, but is not the stereotypical "tearjerker" like "Love Story" or "Steel Magnolias"?
And, I do not mean a movie that makes you cry from happiness.
For example, the movie "A.I." made me cry so badly at the movies, I could not watch it again when it was released on DVD etc.

Gladiator... when Russel Crowe was walking through the wheat fields... his imagining his wife was more real than reality, because he wanted her so badly. I have tears dripping because i can completely relate.

His opening the door to their home, and stepping through it, in his mind... while in life he was enduring the hells of slavery. Chokes me up every time.

Pursuit of Happyness made me cry, but not tears of happiness and it wasn't a tearjerker either. It was a truly touching story about a father (Will Smith) trying to keep him and his son above the poverty line, while trying to make it through an internship at a prestigious firm, so he can get a better-paying job and a better life for the two of them.

It's funny at parts, but when he hits rock bottom it gets really sad. Like when he was evicted from his motel and he and his son had to sleep in a bathroom for the night. That was just, so sad.

Here's a weird one for you...

WOLF CREEK made me cry. Made me sob, if I'm being honest.

I haven't watched it again, so I don't know if it would have the same effect. But the first time through, I was definitely crying hard by the end... and I'm a longtime horror movie fan. I really don't know exactly why I cried, but I think what got to me emotionally was just how brutal and unfeeling the killer was, in addition to how innocent the victims were (and, in the case of the two young women, how hard they fought to live).

I know... that sounds like a thousand other horror movies. But, for whatever reason, this one got to me.

"Set it Off". Basically, these four black girls rob banks. Then one of them gets shot in the process and the other three try to save her but can't. Then another one of them gets shot acting as a diversion - I mean gunned down. There's music and everything. Then another gets shot while running from police, while the last girl watches from a bus. Again, lots of sad music. The last scene of the movie shows the only girl that survived driving sadly into the mountains. All of this sadness is in about the last half hour of the movie, but let me tell you, I was sobbing my eyes out and was depressed for days.

I don't know if Million Dollar Baby counts as a tearjerker, but I did cry a lot.
I usually cry when I watch love stories (but those ARE tearjerkers!)

E.T. gets me all the time!

Also Radio Flyer, that's the movie with the abusive dad and the two kids who build a plane out of one of those little red wagons. I suppose this is a tearjerker though.

The Phantom of the Opera. *sob* The part near the end, and when "Learn to Be Lonely" plays during the credits is sad, in a sweet and tragic way.

I bawled during "The Holiday", and I always sniffle at the end of "13 Going on 30".

My boyfriend cries at "King Kong" :)
