New sequel, not new prequel.

A prequel is a movie or story set in a time before to the main movie or story related.

Example: Episode I: The Phantom Menace is a prequel to Star Wars: A new hope

How would you do a Spiderman prequel? The story starts with Peter Parker being bit by the radioactive/genetically modified spider. He had no special powers before then. It would just be a movie about Peter Parker, the lowly school nerd in love with MJ Watson but is afraid to act on it.

However, according to IMDB, there is a Spiderman 4 which is supposed to come out in 2009. There is no mention of a Spiderman prequel. Here is the Stan Lee page on IMDB. If there was a prequel, it would be listed on there.

You can't have a prequel to a movie that starts at the beginning of the story. Unless you just want to watch Peter Parker walk around looking like a moron.

I suppose if you really wanted you could watch Spiderman 2 first and then the first Spiderman would be like a prequel to you.

Prequel comic or movie? Spider-Man 4 is scheduled for 2009 but it isn't a prequel.
