NO, not unless their is some real important reason you have to have this change. I know a state that your drivers license number is the same as Social Security Number and you better beleive you can get that changed, because that is dangerous.

No, infact in many states your license is coded to other pieces of information, such as last name, year of birth, etc... For Illinois, I remember a computer program you could run that would ask you questions about yourself and then tell you what your drivers license number is (or will be, if you don't have one yet)

no - i have had the same california driver's license number since 1961. i got my license when i was 16

Depending on the state and the process to renew. If you renew by mail, no it wouldn't change. If you go into the office to process, it's possible.
