My man is spending a weekend in Vegas, and wants to focus the event on sports. He is interested in finding a comfortable place where he can run up the bar tab, watch the games and place bets on them.

We've done some internet research, but really need some suggestions from somebody who has some knowledge of Vegas. He's staying at MGM and does not want to get too far from the main strip.

Suggestions?

There are a lot of nice sports books in LV, the MGM included, but, far and away the best sports book is the one at the Las Vegas Hilton. >It's truely LV only "Super Book"

And, if you want to bet the games the LVH has the best lines(dime/nickel) among the "big" books.

1000 seats in the sports book

Never a problem getting a drink >none of those stupid drink coupons here

There is a bar in the sports book - and a snack bar.

Good video poker, in the sports book, if you like to play and watch at the same time. 9/6 JOB at both the nickel & quarter level.

The Monorail goes right from the MGM to LV Hilton.

I spend 6-8 weeks a year in LV and have for more than 20 years, when I want to watch or bet on an event the LV Hilton is where I go.

Depends on the bar. Some of the bars and night clubs you have a very strict dress code. Most of the average bars are pretty much open for dress code. Most of the bars do have websites, so if you know which one you are thinking about going to, check the website. Google it.

See the sports book at Caesar's Palace. Your man will be impressed. The property has the forum shops for you as you wait to collect on the bets.
