Insurance industry is one of the few remaining industries that have a government mandated profit(passed at the state level through your states insurance commission. Is it time to remove the gaurenteed profit and require Insurance companies to earn a profit like the rest of Corp America?

My Doctor billed my insurance company 485.00 for an X-Ray consultation.I asked him to point out an old fracture on my spine from an existing x-ray.It took him 40 seconds.Do the math, that's $44,090.90 per hour.Seems a little high to me.Maybe we should find a way to control health costs and thus make health care affordable instead of just throwing money at the problem.

#1, Won’t work. Government intervention has NEVER solved anything.
#2, Health care is currently available via government funded programs. Should Health insurance be provided via the federal government the only way it could possible function is to provide the bare minimum of services.

My suggesting…reduce, not increase, the amount of government involvement with the system.

3) none of the above. The government should not be involved in any way. Competition between grocery stores keeps food prices low with out any government intervention. The same applies for health care, get the government out and the free market will prevail.
