I would like to find a Internet Service Provider that offers Cable or DSL service. I would love to get FiOS but it is not available where I live. If anyone in the Boston metro area has found a quality, locally owned ISP that they have had a good experience with, please share! Thanks! :)

I found these web sites:

www.dslreports.com

www.mfire.com/internet/massachusetts-ma.php

massachusetts.theispguide.com

I searched through those and didn't find what I was looking for.

I even posted a topic at the dslreports.com forums but nobody had any ideas:

I haven't looked through here yet but it doesn't really seem to be what I'm after:

I have been with RCN for years and find their fiber-based system fast and cheap on bundled packages. I would never switch from them. They were a tiny regional company (EROLS) before they got bought out (now RCN) but still make a good effort in customer service.
