Well if you go to work, and so does she, then you both ought to share the jobs. If they are really jobs that she is not capable of doing then you ought to set asisde some time to try and get them done, otherwise your wife will go on and on.

I am a wife who has trouble showing affection. The first couple years that my husband and I were married we really struggled with it because he was feeling the same way that you are. I have a hard time and do not like initiating sex. Thats just how I am, I would rather my husband start something. We finally sat down and really talked about it and what I was comfortable with. I started making an effort in showing him affection throughout the day when he wouldn't expect it. I think since I am more affectionate with him during the day he doesn't mind that I don't initiate sex that often. He knows that its not that I don't want to, I'm just not comfortable starting it. I do surprise him every now and then, but I have to be very aware of how I treat him. Just sit down and talk with her again and keep doing it until she gets the point. It's going to take understanding on your part and effort on hers. There is a way to meet in the middle. My husband and I haven't had this argument for over a year and a half now. So its been working!

Does the wife want a job? Do you want a job? Apparently, the wife wants you to find a job and shut off the television set. If you guys need the money, as we all do, then I could see why she is "pressing you." This is a positive for the both of you. The wife can tape the shows or you can, and pick up on them, when you return from your "job hunt." This would be a great compromise. What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the GOD of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace, Love and God Bless.

Right! Pick up the remote, turn off the TV and do the jobs she wants done around the house. That way everything will go smoothly, you will avoid conflict and will have more time to watch the tube.

Mark, do you want some affection off your wife? Then make a start on one of the jobs. Do it efficiently, with good grace and a big smile. Just think of how she might replay you [wink wink] Sooner you start, sooner you finish!

Its their nature. Women try to improve and change everything just to show off to family and friends. Shiit, all I need is a mattres and a milk crate. I dont give a crap. The money she spends on fancy deco is rediculous.

suggestion?

switch off your TV and computer and get on with whatever she needs you to do

if you feel your wife is 'nagging' then it is a sign that her needs aren't being met and shutting her out will only intensify her irritation with you and so is counter productive

Go ahead and watch TV. Your wife can use your hard earned money to hire the work done. No Sweat, it will get done by someone, and then you can work over time, and miss the ball game. Worked for me.
