Perfect age, Dear.
You're not really all that young to be getting married compared to most people these days.
Put yourself on E-Harmony, or Match.com...
I bet you'll have 'em beating your door down.

I got married at 19, and I'm now 25. We have 2 beautiful children, and our life is pretty good. I think no matter when you get married, you're going to have a roller coaster, so all you can do is hang on and keep looking for the ups. We've had our troubles, but the best advice I have ever gotten was to not take it personal. Don't take it personal when they've had a rough day, because in the end, we do things we don't mean when we're irritated. Not saying to be a door mat, but if you get snapped at, just try and remember that at first it is VERY hard to live with someone and the way they do things. Good luck to you and congrats!

Well....I can tell you this. I'm going to be 22, almost 23 when I get married. (October 2008 is the date.) And as long as you're 100% sure that this girl is the one and that you are compatable, go for it. My boyfriend and I have been together for two years. I know that coming from me being only 21 right now is like advice from a child- but 26 isn't really a young age to get married.
Some of the benefits are a huge tax break on your income checks haha!

The only benefit of actually being married is the fact that you're going to be with this person the rest of your life. If you love him that much and you two get along like friends as well as partners and you know he's the right one then get married. You really aren't young you're at the perfect age.

You arent too you, 26 sounds perfect, you are educated and employed and have a house, marriage plus kids is next. I think when they say young they mean like 20-23, when you are that young you havent really lived yet, but 26 is about right 28 for kids, that way you enjoy marriage before kids. Good luck

26 is not very young. That is the perfect age, especially since you have a house and a career. By this age, you are pretty certain who YOU are and what YOU want out of life. If/when you find someone that fits in with your path, go for it!

I got married at 19. I'm 42 now. 19 was too young even though I'm still married. If you are asking if you're too young, you must be having doubts! If you are not 100% sure you want to get married DO NOT DO IT! Good luck---
Ben there-don that.

You're definitely not too young. As a matter of fact, you're about average. If you're self-sustaining with a career and house of your own, it should be a good time to get married, that is, if you want to.

I think thats perfectly fine because in my opinion, women should have children before hitting their 30's or mid 30's the latest. I wouldn't want to be at a grandma's age while my children are still young. For one you can't keep up with them and they will be embarrassed to have old parents.

It sounds like you have your stuff together. If you are ready to get married and your significant other is ready to get married then now sounds like a great time.
I was married a lot younger than you, so I don't see a problem with your age at all.
