Yes. I was half asleep, but I remember someone mentioning that we were on Route 66. I thought, 'wow' and looked out the window. Then I fell asleep.

a couple of miles on it. it was a cross country trip, we veered off to see what Route 66 looked like.

scenic, but we didn't want to spend a lot of time driving that way, when there was a much faster Interstate.

Why yes, many times. Saw Billboards for Stuckey's and Ortega's, a few dinosaurs, Indian Teepees, Saguaro cactus, Joshua trees, and really pretty rock formations.

Yes, many times.

The best time was in 1966,
when we also drove thru part of Utah on on Route 666
(the "name of the beast").

Most of it is now an Interstate.
(40, I think.)

No. But ironically, there is a bus number 66 where I live, so that is my road trip.

Not the whole thing, just the parts that were labeled coming from California to Colorado.
It was cool, some neat things to see, but slow going, road not well kept up.
