I know a little girl named Taia ... I think it's exotic sounding ^_^ and without being weird. I think I would pronounce Tayah the same way, and if it is then it's a wonderful choice for your little girl!
The Taia I know is so gorgeous ... she has dark olive skin, long, jet black hair, and emerald green eyes. She's a bit quiet, but not shy ... the minute you do something she doesn't like she'll let you know about it ^_^ and she's so smart too; straight As on every report card she's gotten since I've known her (except for one with a B ~_~ but that doesn't count). I suppose because of her, I automatically picture a beautiful, exotic girl with a quiet but passionate personality.

I love it! I recently heard a boy's name that I like too, Kenyon. I'm not pregnant yet either, but I have been looking at names anyway. Tayah would be beautiful, with strong features, focused and intelligent. That's what is sounds like to me.

It's very pretty and unique. It also flows very nice with other names so you have lots to choose from for middle names. What about if you have a boy?

Pronounciation question?
Is it TAY-uh or TIE-uh (ex...Layla or Maya)
Just wondering. I think either way it's very pretty. It has just enough of the exotic factor without being too extreme or wierd!!! :)

Hmm... would love to know how you pronounce it... spelled out phonetically(sp?) I mean. As I read it, kinda sounds like a country boy saying Tire.

I think that's a very, very pretty name! I like it because it's so simple, yet very feminine, very beautiful. It reminds me of a princess or something. :-)

That name should brand her for life. She'll just love answering all the insensitive, stupid questions from boorish strangers that name should evoke. And she'll really love you for it especially when she's a teenager. If you want to make a monument out of her, why don't you call her Rushmore ? Oh yeah, spell it backwards and it can be pronounced like 'hate'. Tha she should like when her classmates pick up on it.
